In order to reduce negative impact of Covid19 on economy, Government of Republic of Serbia is running a Program which basically means free funds to companies – 15.450 dinars (156 USD) per employee in April, May and June.
In April, companies can receive 15.450 dinars per employee who was on a pay slip in February 2021
In May, companies can receive 15.450 dinars per employee who was on a pay slip in March 2021
In June, companies can receive 15.450 dinars per employee who was on a pay slip in April 2021
Funds are received on special bank account, which will be opened automatically in the your bank and closed automatically in July 2021, once you apply for the Program.
Funds can be used only to finance employees’ net salaries.
In order to receive these funds, company must apply:
for April funds by 31st of March 2021
for May funds by 30th of April 2021
for June funds by 31st of May 2021
Application is submitted on ePorezi, Tax Authority online platform.
Funds must be used by 30th July 2021. All funds remaining on the special bank account after 30th July 2021 will be returned by the bank to the state.
You can loose received funds during the Program, if you:
- reduce the number of employee by more than 10% starting from 13th February until October 2021
- pay dividends any time between 13th February until the end of 2021
- spend funds on anything else but employees’ net salary
If you do any of these, and therefore loose the right to received fund, you have to return all the fund with interest within 5 days.
Any decrease in number of employees counts, no matter the reason – if employee quits, it is counted as reduction. But, you can replace leaving employee with a new one the same day and stay on the safe side. Basically, if you have less than 10 employees, you need to maintain the same number of employees as the one you had on 13th February 2021.
